I recently spent New Year's at Hamresanden Resort, and it was an absolute delight. Nestled just a 12-minute drive from central Kristiansand, this beachside gem has all the makings of a perfect retreat, especially if you've got an affinity for cooking up a storm with the stovetop and microwave in your self-catering apartment. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade-always a lovely touch! My spacious apartment came equipped with a huge balcony where I could imagine sipping coffee during warm summer mornings, although it was a bit chilly in early January. After a day of exploring the stunning Vest-Agder region, the private bathroom with a shower was a fantastic way to wash off the day's adventures. The location is idyllic, with a beach just steps away and plenty of green spaces for leisurely strolls. Plus, free Wi-Fi and ample parking made everything easy during my stay. My only slight hiccup was the noise from a couple next door, but that's just part of traveling. The manager was lovely, addressing my concerns promptly.
